Snow trip

We have missed the snow these past 4 years.  We had been told that 5 hours away we could find snow.  At first I thought, "Snow?  Really?  Real now?" So we drove 5 hours and lo & behold we found REAL SNOW!  It was the tail end of winter so a lot of it had melted, but we had a great time!  We stayed at a friends great apartment in Jindabyne.

We are used to the bitter Utah cold so we bundled up like no body's business & we were sweating our faces off.  It was a beautiful day there at Perisher Resort.

Jack borrowed his friend Ava's snow suit & boots.  So cute!

Turned my head & Jack faces planted.

Here she goes...

Jack loved it.  Poor kid also got a face full of snow every time he went down the hill.

Loving every minute!

It's even fun to slide down the hill on your back.

Like a worm mommy...

what up??

Liv having a tender moment with her daddy.
Jack loved the royal treatment he got.

The snow is quickly melting...

We brought out the garbage bags....like me and Jared did as kids.

Rex the seal

They did an awesome train down the hill/

On our way home we had an EFY fireside in Canberra so we spent a few hours before the fireside at the War Memorial.  It was very interesting.  Here the kids are outside the War Memorial building with Parliament in the distance.

The kids discovery zone was great.  The kids loved it.

It is so nice to be able to get away as a family, even if it's just for the weekend.  We had a great time together as a family.  I am ready to plan another get away. :)
