Couldn't be prouder

Rex has been practicing and practicing writing his name. R was pretty hard for him,but he got it. I was in the laundry room when I heard him scream, "Mom, I did it...I really did it." He was so proud of himself and of course I was too. He even called Jared to tell him. Nothing like seeing your child beaming from ear to ear.

a classic

Every year we watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. I love it. I watched it tons growing up, so we gets so excited when it comes on around Halloween. You get such good advice like, "don't jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker." Our favorite is when Charlie Brown says, "I got a rock." I can't help but feel bad for poor Charlie Brown. We had a fun night snuggling and watching an old classic.

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We had such a FUN time at the pumpkin patch. We went on a fun hay ride out to a few pumpkin patches. We went with some friends and the kids had fun running around trying to find that perfect pumpkin. Lucy was more intersted in finding rocks, but when she did find a pumpkin she let everyone know that it was hers. "Mine." We had fun at the petting zoo, eating DELICIOUS donut holes and watching the kids run through the hay maze. Fall is such a fun time of year. I love all the leaves, it is so beautiful outside. We are enjoying our last few weeks in beautiful Idaho.

You've got to love Rex....

This was Rex's latest creation.....underwear & a hat. Well alrighty, lets hope it's clean underwear.

couldn't help but stop

When we were drivin home from the Halloween party (see next post). The sunset was gorgeous. It was so beautiful that I had to pull over, get out and take a picture. I love the field picture...it is so Idaho. I drive past lots of fields everyday & I love it. I also loved how the colors were reflecting off the lake. The kids would not stop saying..."oh my goodness, that is so pretty..." over & over again.

Harvest Halloween Party

We went to a fun Halloween party at Rex's preschool. They had a great line up of cars for the trunk-or-treat. I thought for sure Lucy would want to dive right into her candy but she just kind of starred at it. They had a fun carnival inside the auditorium. They kids had a lot of fun doing that & seeing their friends. Alivia was able to see a lot of her friends from when she went there. It was a fun night. Oh, Rex was a pirate, Liv was a princess and Luc was a chicken. They were pretty dang cute.

Pure joy!

Alivia & Rex have been SAVING & SAVING & SAVING for Build a Bear. Jared's Grandpa and Dad make these famous, yummy carmals and the kids sold them for $.25 each and made a TON of money. They have also been saving their chore money & birthday money. So we ventured out to Build a Bear and the kids were in heaven. They picked out their bear, (Rex picked out a koala bear). They stuffed them, washed them, made a wish and picked out an outfit for them. Alivia named her bear Courtney and Rex named his koala Fluffy. They love them so much. Who would have thought these little animals could bring them so much joy.

Little Lady

Lucy is growing up so fast. She likes to chit chat on her phone while she walks around the house. She is a busy little lady.

Rex's BYU Football adventures

Family pictures...oh so fun!

So I got hit with an awful case of strep throat this weekend and I am waiting for my antibiotics to kick in. With Jared gone, me sick and 3 children wanting their mommy...it is not such a good combination. Thank goodness for good friends and neighbors who have come to my rescue. Thanks to my sweet husband that made phone calls (from far away) without me knowing. He knew that I wouldn't ask for help. Phone calls came flying in and dinner last night and tonight. There are so many kind people around me. Yesterday I was felling awful so I told the kids that we would turn on the fire get a ton of blankets and watch a movie. It was nice...I got a nice nap in that way. I think all of the preparations to move to Australia and all the late nights getting stuff done finally caught up to me. So...since I am not feeling so hot I am doing a lot of blogging. So enjoy all the new posts.

We took some family pictures in Jared's parents backyard. It is always quite the experience. :)

Bowling with their buddies

Thanks goodness for a ramp & bumper rails.

This one is for you Mom & Dad!

We traveled all over the US when I was little and we would always stop & get a picture in front of whatever state we were in.

Absolutely beautiful!

While we were in Utah it got pretty cold and on the tips of the mountains there was a good amount of snow. It was so beautiful. Everytime we drive over the point of the mountain and see those beautiful mountains it makes me happy. I took these pictures from the deck at my parents house. I have always loved the mountains, but especially now that I live away from them. When I was little there used to be just trees down by the river behind my parents house and you could see the main road down there. We would be playing in the backyard and see my dad coming home from work driving down the road. We knew that it must be close to dinner time. Now all you see are big houses. We had a fun hot dog roast with my brother and his family. It was FREEZING but oh so fun. We had smores and Alivia decided that she just wanted marshmellow and chocolate, no graham crackers...so you can imagine it was a super sticky mess.
