This is my brother Mike. He is the oldest of the Schill clan. He was in Australia for a conference and stopped in Sydney to see us. We had fun showing him around the beautiful harbour.
The kids had fun showing Mike the bats and the cockatoos.
The botanical gardens are always a favorite.
Rex lost an arm...he also skipped school to go to the airport to pick up uncle Mike.
Lucy found the lion to be quite nice...
Uncle Mike brought a suitcase full of goodies. The kids would do a trick and Mike would bring out a goodies from the bag....they each did at least 5 tricks each. Some of the goodies were marshmallows and graham crackers. We had fun roasting them over the stove to make smores.
He brought regular marshmallows and then he brought the biggest marshmallows we have ever seen. Apparently they are new...
Mike was getting tired {jet lag} towards the afternoon so we tried to keep him awake with some Wii Just Dance.
Jack loves the treadmill..he stands there and talks and talks.
Of course we had a sausage sizzle for dinner..
Mike was only here for a day and a half so the next day we hit Balmoral beach for some fish n chips and then to Manly for some beach time.
We stopped to eat our fish n chips and the seagulls came a swarmin'. The kids were screaming and Mike was holding up a chip...it was hilarious!
Jack is wondering what all the fuss is about.
Lucy was Mike's little shadow. She was by his side all the time, it was pretty cute. We only had about an hour at the beach before we had to take Mike back to the airport.
Mr. booger nose stayed out of the water with me..he had fun walking on the sand and talking to the birds.
Lucy loves her sand time.
Mike's trip was far too short, but we are so happy we were able to see him and spend some time with him. I didn't get a picture of it, but every time we would stop Mike would pull the kids out of the back of the car like rockets. It was so funny and the kids got a kick out of it. Thanks Uncle Mike for a super fun visit!!
