Catch-up

Life has been extra busy lately.  We have had a lot going on but I wanted to catch-up on some blogging.  At the beginning of January we met Baron & Jason for a picnic/birthday get together for Baron in the Botanical Gardens.  We hadn't been there for awhile so it was nice.  We had a good time eating and talking and the kids ran around.  It's a great place for running around.

She looks super comfy in her awkwardly posed pose. ;)

That's more like it.

Seriously what a view.  The harbour is honestly breathtaking.  I love it.

I can't remember what Baron was saying or doing in this picture but the salsa from Costco was good ! :)

Of course we devoured huge pieces of Costco raspberry filled white cake.  So good!

A few weeks later Jared had a business thing a magigger in the city on a Saturday so it was a good excuse for me to head in, drop him off, and take the kids to the park there.  First we went to Centennial Park which is beautiful but it would be great if we had bikes or scooters with us.  After that park we went to Hungry Jack's for lunch then decided to go to the newly remodelled park in Darling Harbour.  It is a fun place but man oh man was it crowded.  I was so uptight trying to keep track of my kids.  Lucy likes to wander and she was a wandering.  So after about an hour we left and headed back to pick Jared up.

Oh wait, before we headed back the kids had fun playing in the fountains which totally have signs that say no swimming around them.  Yep, I know, terrible, but it was hot and a billion other kids were doing it...I know, no excuse. :)

The following week we met the Helmer's and Pickett's at Shelly beach for a picnic.  It was a week night so I drove into the city with the kids and we picked up Jared.

It was a lot of fun, towards the end it started raining so we had to call it good.

Nice hand stand Rex...
Jared and Rex went out snorkeling and came back telling us how many cool fish they saw.

This next pic may be one of my favs of all times.  Seriously...I can't handle his cuteness.  Jack LOVES his goggles.  I always ask him to say goggles because the way he says it is so cute.

Avery & Alivia

The following day we went to the Colvin's house for a swim.  It was so nice and the kids had a blast together.

This summer hasn't been very hot but we have stilled managed to have some great water time.
