hoopla

We love the city.  We went to the city yesterday for an event called hoopla.  It was a carnival like thinga ma gig.  It was fun.  We walked around beautiful Darling Harbour.  The weather has been so beautiful lately so it felt nice to walk around.
The kids were let loose on their scooters.

heading to the big top

They had a tent where you could learn to juggle, balance things, walk on stilts and all those circusy things.

Jared was pretty much a pro on the stilts.  If I wasn't deathly freaked out by clowns he would make a good clown on stilts. :)

Jack was enjoying the show.

The super tall girls on stilts were a bit disturbing.

We went to a couple of shows and while we were waiting the kids couldn't resist this swirling water flowing goodness.  Yep, they got wet, and they were cold, but they had a fun time.

Lucy accidentally sat down in the water.  We saw drumming monkeys as well as the Pitt family circus and some guys from Africa that did some pretty sweet tricks.

The drumming monkeys were a hit with the kiddos.

Ruby Ray went flying through the sky.  Lucy could not keep her eyes off of her.

She was mesmerized and I pretty much had to carry her out of there.

The Prepchuk's met us and after the last show we got caught in a huge rainstorm on our trek back to the car. We were soaked to the bone.  The kids loved it, Jack was grinning his face off on Jared's shoulders.  It was a great night...a circus and not a single clown was spotted!  Phweee!
