every time i start fishing around looking for old pics on the hard drive i end up finding a smorgasbord of pictures that bring back a lot of memories. for instance...this first pic was taken in Jan. 2008 at the winter carnival in mccall, idaho. it snowed at least a foot in the 7 hours we were there. it is such a fun place. everyone pulls their kids around on sleds instead of strollers.
on one of our many trips from idaho to utah we stopped at temple square while it was snowing. it was freezing and beautiful.
i can't remember if i hae posted this one already and frankly i can't be bothered to scroll through the posts to see. every Christmas the finch house turns into a caramel making paradise. it is quite the art. we sit around talking and wrapping caramels for hours.
i like making snowmen but i always feel bad for them when they slowly melt and look all deformed and sad. i know, snowmen don't have feelings...isn't lucy's little snowman cute?
i miss these pictures. we couldn't haul them on the plane so we had to leave them behind when we moved. they are 20x20 inch pictures. the frames were old display boxes from old navy. they were getting rid of them so jared brought a bunch home for me. i ordered the huge pics from costco and spray painted the frames.
my mom always does this wrap it and wrap it and wrap it trick on every birthday. i don't know what it is called but my mom would do it after lighting candles. now i do it for my kids. it is a great trick...and it reminds me of my mom. {this pic was taken while I was visiting my parents on their mission..i flew there on my bday.}
this pic is so rex
this pic cracks me up. we took liv to the cheesecake factory for her 4th bday. i took this pic while the servers sang happy bday to her. can you tell she is thrilled? more like mortified. she was embarrassed that everyone was singing to her...and by her expression she obviously didn't hide it..so funny.
that cake looks so good right now.
