We had to buy a few appliances when we got into our place. So of course the kids love all the huge boxes and can't wait to make them into a fort/castle. We got creative with what tools we had. We cut windows and even a sun roof and tape a front door on. The kids didn't bring many toys with them, no room, and we still don't have a TV connection so we they have been having a good time using their imaginations.
I know that I have been whining about how hot it is here lately...but it really is so hot and sweaty right now. The kids sleep in either their undies or their swimsuits. So the other night we sat outside and they ate Popsicles in the gutter and watched people on walks. We live on a nice quiet street so it makes it nice to sit outside.
We have put Alivia and Lucy in a double bed together and no matter how many times I separate them, they always end up face to face. You can see how hot Liv's face is. She has rosie cheeks. I shared a room and a bed with my sister until I was in High School. Maybe not a bed that long, but a room. Fun times.
The other pic is of Rex and Liv on our way home from Sydney. They were so wiped out. It does not look comfortable at all.

I love the sisters in the bed picture! I shared rooms with my sisters all growing up and loved it!
I am so glad you are adjusting to life down under! I am sure it will take a while, but what an adventure! Your kids are darling. What a great opportunity for your little family to bond. I love your updates!
Good luck with everything. You have a great family and we enjoy reading your updates.
I am just getting around to checking blogs since Christmas. You guys have had quite the adventures lately! You are such a strong woman, I don't think I could move so far away. I wish you the best of luck!
They do look hot, but happy! They are so cute, and it's nice you found a quiet neighborhood to live in. I hope you are starting to feel settled!
It is so sweet to see your adorable family and how you are making the most out of your situation. Children are so inventive and fun with whatever they have. Who is the Baron fellow? Is he someone your hubby works with? It is so great to follow your adventure
Love Pam
Some of my favorite pictures of my kids are the sleeping ones. They're so sweet when they're asleep. :) You'll have to post some pictures of your house. The more you write about Australia, the more I want to see it in person!
